Aftermath

The pain . . .

It’s crippling

Though,

it lets me know

I can still feel

Everything else is numb

Hopes, shattered

Dreams, gone

How does one keep going on

When everything you’ve ever wanted

Just disappears

Is ripped away

No longer a reality

Is Taken

Stolen

Gone

I don’t want to die,

but I don’t want to exist either

Another day just seems so daunting

I’ve got nothing left to give

No more will to fight

broken down

damaged goods

They say that life isn’t fair,

but no one prepared me for this
