The Elephant in the Room is Cancer. Tea is the Relief Conversation Provides.

Stanford AYA Program Workshop – November 2020

Join Elephants & Tea and b-present Foundation and your peers from across California in this outcome driven writing and brainstorming workshop that explores the recurring themes and challenges of social support after a cancer diagnosis.

Hear from four time survivor Steve Giallourakis and his older brother, Nick, Co-founder and Executive Director of Elephants and Tea, as they talk about their experience coping with cancer, how it changed their relationship, and how clear communication makes a difference in the support received.

Next, you will have the chance reflect on and share (if desired) your own support experiences, and the insights you gained about how to communicate with those you want by your side. In the final segment, we will work together to brainstorm ideas and activities that can help future patients have the important conversations, and ensure they get the support they need.

Your participation, insights and ideas in this purpose driven workshop will shape the future support experience of young adults diagnosed with cancer. Let’s make a difference together!

All participants that sign up by 11/5 will receive a special gift from b-present Foundation prior to the workshop. You won’t want to miss out!
