Introduction

Elephants and Tea™ is a media platform (the “Services”) operated by the Steven G AYA Cancer Research Fund, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit under federal tax guidelines, a company headquartered in the State of Ohio in the United States (“we”, “us,” “our” and “Elephants and Tea”). The Services provide a forum for adolescent and young adult cancer patients and survivors to tell their story in their own words. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This privacy policy addresses how we collect, use, disclose, and store information you provide to us. The privacy policy applies to Elephantsandtea.com (the “Site”).

When you use the Site, you consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.

7.      Children’s privacy

The Site and its services are offered and available only if you are 13 years or older. Elephants and Tea does not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, you may submit a request for removal to nick@elephantsandtea.org.

8.      California privacy rights

California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits users of our Site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes within the previous calendar year. 9.      Opting out of receiving communications from the Site
