Don’t Call it a Journey Podcast

by Lisa Orr July 17, 2022

If cancer has touched your life in some way, whether it be your own personal battle, or that of a loved one, you know that the road of cancer is a long one. If you are in this club that none of us asked to join, you probably know that people love to call fighting cancer a ‘journey’…but as a member of this club, you also know the real truth…that this so-called ‘journey’ of cancer really doesn’t end. Our lives are forever changed in many ways…some negative, but dare I say it, some positive, too. Join me as we talk about REAL topics around living with a cancer diagnosis as a young adult.

Our Cancer Journey Podcast

by Lisa Orr

The Our Cancer Journey Podcast was launched by Bruce Watkins, a writer, multi-media creator, humanitarian, minimalist evangelist, and curious soul who became an unapologetic advocate of Life-Optimization for all. After surviving Stage-3 cancer and other life-changing experiences, Bruce walked away from his conventional life, gave away most of his possessions, left his home behind, and began traveling the world, exploring cultures, writing, volunteering, and giving-back. After years on the road speaking to countless forward-thinking people in the Cancer community, Bruce created the improbably positive, upbeat, engaging, and occasionally irreverent Our Cancer Journey Podcast. The program dives deeper into important topics with accomplished medical experts, inspirational cancer survivors, innovative leaders, and holistic / alternative health practitioners, all with the purpose of finding key takeaways that can help the show’s wildly diverse audience which includes many engaged young adults. With thousands of listeners in over 70 countries throughout the world, this fun and skillfully-produced program is more than a podcast about cancer, it’s about LIFE, and how we can make our lives BETTER. Hear all the episodes at or on all major podcast apps and platforms.
